About
What happens when two sets of parents meet up to deal with the unruly behaviour of their children? A calm and rational debate between grown-ups about the need to teach kids how to behave properly? Or a hysterical night of name-calling, tantrums and tears before bedtime? Boys will be boys, but the adults are usually worse – much worse. Winner of the 2009 Tony Award for Best Play, God of Carnage is a comedy of manners without the manners.

For my Producing debut, I couldn’t have asked for a better cast and crew as this! Thank you Amanda and Steve for all your guidance and support. With almost 10 years in local theater and a Board member for ACT, we take great pride in the Team of casts and crew that want to be a part of each production here at ACT.

Todd Plone
Set Designer
For over 30 years, this graduate of Arizona State University has been proving that “can we move that wall two inches to the left?” is both an art form and a personality disorder. Armed with a BFA., in design, a Master’s degree from the prestigious KSU., 3 USITT design awards, 5 OCTA awards, and a suspiciously large collection of paint-splattered clothing, he has spent decades turning empty stages into fully realized worlds — usually while surviving on coffee, gaffer’s tape, and impossible deadlines.
Todd has also been nominated for 19 Broadway World awards and won 9, which means if you also had $3, all those would get you a cup of coffee. Known for creating stunning environments, solving problems with theatrical wizardry, and voodoo, he continues to design sets that audiences love, and stage crews fear in equal measure.
-

Lance Switzer
Lighting Designer
Lance is happy to return to ACT since last lighting Disaster! and I Hate Hamlet. Lance has over 150 local productions to his credit at Berea Summer Theatre, Kalliope Theatre, Greenbriar (Cassidy) Theatre, Willoughby Fine Arts, and Beck Center. Emily would like to thank Chris for trusting her to bring violence safely to life onstage.

Jerry Schaber

-

Steve Johnson
Board Liaison
Steve is excited to serve as Board Liaison for God of Carnage and help this talented team bring another great ACT production to the stage. Around ACT, he has worn a few hats: board member, actor, producer, theater dad, and general “how can I help?” guy. Professionally, Steve leads SaaS product work in the proptech space, helping global teams turn big ideas into clear, practical solutions. He loves applying that same mix of strategy, creativity, and teamwork to support ACT and the people who make the magic happen.

Vic Piccoult
